Torben Rafn started as an independent carrier in 1966. In the picture to the left is the first building on Ingeniørvej in Sommersted, where the company is still located. At first, it was mostly road materials, agricultural lime, etc., but over time the company grew into an up-to-date, versatile haulage business with destinations in Europe and the Middle East. Even in Africa, you can see Torben Rafn vehicles.

In connection with its Middle East transports the company started to take an interest in specialist haulage, laying the foundation of the current company activities.



In 1986, Torben Rafn & Ivar Dahl Nielsen set up the current Torben Rafn & Co. A/S together. At the time, the fleet consisted of bulk, tarpaulin and refrigerator trailers in addition to special trailers and platform trailers, but it was a decision from the start that the future main business focus would be on specialist haulage.
Today the company has modern workshop and storage facilities of more than 2000 sq. m at its disposal as well as a highly versatile, up-to-date programme of special vehicles and platform trailers for all types of special haulage.
